Sometimes we think we have our shit together, but most of the time we don’t. A lot of us are really just coasting along on Cruse control.
When it comes to getting your mess straightened out the things below will help tremendously. Think on them for as long as you need, and really let these truths sink in. Getting your shit together is not as hard as people make it seem!

1. The way you react to things makes a difference.
Just because something is hard or you don’t like it does not mean you should react negatively to it. We decide how things impact us, and if you keep letting the negative win you will never know happiness. Your altitude is connected to your attitude.

2. No relationship is going to complete you.
You have to stop looking for yourself in other people. True happiness comes from within yourself, not within another person. Relationships are here to offer support not to make us whole. If you put the key to your happiness in another's pocket they can lose it. or worse, leave with it!

3. People don’t really care as much as you would want them to.
Sure, there are some people who do care, but you have to realize that you are not the center of the universe. Not everything revolves around you and no one wants to hear you whine constantly. Honestly, folks have enough worries & concerns of their own. Unless they directly ask, keep it to yourself.

4. You are not always on other people’s minds.
We are all self-oriented for the most part, but it is important not to be so concerned with what other people think. Their opinions don’t matter, and they’re not as obsessed with you as you would like to think. Truth is they are caught up in the "what others think" loop themselves.

5. People are going to hate you no matter what you do.
No matter what you do in this life there is always going to be someone out there who disagrees with you or hates you. You simply cannot please everyone! Be the best version of yourself every day, and if you do that, you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy the fact that if they hate ya they talkin bout ya! And there's no such thing as bad publicity. It means you're living rent free in their head... Let them waste their time, don't waste yours.

6. Blaming other people for your failures makes you weak.
Placing the blame on other people makes you weak. We must take responsibility for our actions & life choices. You're gonna jack up, make mistakes, but unless it kills ya, you can bounce back, fix-it, or make it right and learn from it.

7. You need to make investments into all your wellbeing.
While sometimes money will be tight it is beneficial to go out and do the things that matter to you. Don’t sit at home and spend all of your time alone. Go out and have fun, buy something you have been wanting or see a movie. See to your health, Take care of your spirit. Enjoy yourself!

8. Avoiding risk is not the answer.
We have to take risks in this life; without risk, we will not be able to be truly happy. Don’t settle, if you want something, go out and make it happen. if you fail so what? Learn from it, improvise, innovate, & overcome. You only gotta succeed once to get there. You don't want to be that poor soul thinking "What IF?" looking back.

9. Nothing is free.
Nothing in this world comes free, we have to work hard for the things we want and sometimes it is going to take a lot longer than we would like. Everything you want in life has it's price. The question is - are you willing to pay-it?

10. You are wasting time on social media.
Sure checking Facebook from time to time is fine, but spending all of your free time online is leaving you wasting away. Get out in nature or do something meaningful. Real life experiences are more important than all that extra screen time. All that stuff will still be there waitin on ya.

11. Don’t take anything for granted as tomorrow is not guaranteed
We are born dying and until we realize that, and make peace with the Reaper we will never really live fully.

12. Television is a waste of time and energy.
How do you ever expect you have your shit together if you are watching television all the time? Limit your exposure to the BOX.
