Apple has more cash than the reserves of the U.K.and Canada combined
Apple’s Cash Hoard Set to Top $250 Billion
Tech giant’s unequaled stash draws calls for buybacks, acquisitions as corporate tax shift looms

Apple’s quarterly results will show that its total of cash, not accounting for debt, exceeds the market values of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and that of Procter & Gamble Co. and outstrips the foreign-currency reserves of the U.K.and Canada combined.

The company has doubled its cash pile in just over 4½ years. In the last three months of 2016, it racked up new cash at a rate of about $3.6 million an hour.

Why?  Because if it brings this cash back to the U.S., 35% of it will go to pay corporate taxes.

Meanwhile, America has about a million homeless on the streets, including American veterans.
Are you suggesting that Apple needs to do more for homeless people? I suggest Apple should do what is best for Apple share holders. That is management's job and duty.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
Yes, and they want to bring it all back to the USA without paying taxes on it!

Let's get this straight. Set up corporate shell with a post office in Lichtenstein.
Attribute 250 billion in profits to offshore tax shelter - avoiding all US taxes.
lobby the feds to allow them to repatriate funds without having to pay taxes.
Talk about job killing regulations to fan the flames of the deranged tea party.
Complete the loophole, repatriate the cash and avoid paying any taxes.
Give executives big bonuses and pay out dividends.
Buy a few AI companies too.

A nice gig if you can get it.
