Hard to argue with. The Democrats leadership is massively out of touch

I have a feeling that the 2020 election was settled when every candidate lifted their hands in response to the request to lift their hand if their medical insurance plan included insuring all illegals (or however the question was worded).

I simply cannot see anywhere close to 50% of the voting population thinking that that is a good idea, let alone one of the worst ideas ever.

You'd be surprised.  The "American" public ain't what it used to be. Half the country thinks it may be insane, the other half says meh at best.

From Gallup:

May 20, 2019 · While half of Americans view socialism as a bad thing for the country, 43% say it would be a good thing, a much smaller gap than when last measured in 1942.

Dodgy  The present US Healthcare system is a far worse idea.  By and large, everyone who has come in contact with it, knows that.

I see AOC is now attacking Pelosi for being “racist “

The left is eating its own, just as it always does.

Meanwhile Trump sails on, with public opinion more and more in his favour.

From The Hill:

President Trump's approval rating has ticked slightly upward, according to a new Hill-HarrisX poll released on Wednesday.

The survey found 47 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing in the White House, a figure that represents a 2-point increase from when the same poll was conducted two weeks ago. Trump's disapproval rating, meanwhile, is down 2 points at 53 percent.

Trump's approval rating was a little stronger among older Americans. Fifty percent of respondents 65 and older approved of Trump's performance.

Meanwhile, 41 percent of respondents between the ages of 18 and 34 approved of Trump, as did 48 percent of those between the ages of 35 and 49.It’s

So he is even more hated than he was when Hillary beat him by 3 million votes.

You are not really making a lot of sense here...

Are you saying that the system will be improved by adding full coverage to people who have not paid into the system, and will quite likely never pay into the system?

Not to mention the second order effects of a huge influx of "medical refugees" who are unable or unwilling to pay for treatment in their own countries who would be guaranteed treatment under such a plan. I can even imagine Canadians avoiding the long wait times by skipping across the border.

I cannot even imagine the existence of a plan that would be improved by such a boneheaded move.

It just shows you don't know how bad the US system is, even with the Affordable Care Act.
