THERE IS MORE TO BE SEEN THAT SELDOM MEETS THE EYE...
IN A SPIRITUALLY BLIND COUNTRY, THE ONE EYED PROPHET IS KING.

They can 'believe' whatever nonsense floats their boat. Couldn't care less. 'Believe' away to your heart's content. It's only when these uneducated half-wit spiritualists attain any position of power over other people that I have a problem. The last time that happened people got burned at the stake. Or like what is currently the case in Islam's Holy Land, Saudi Arabia. Beheadings for 'witchcraft and sorcery': http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/13/world/meas...beheading/ http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-18503550 No thanks. I'll stick with repeatable, provable Science, thank you very much.

Quote:The last time that happened people got burned at the stake. True it's still happening in Islam, but burned at the stake's NOT the "last time" in Western culture, to this very day we KILL and imprison people for bullcrap religous TYPE beliefs, hell, some States still have blue laws against selling some things on SUNDAYS The drug war is a witchhunt, some sexual "crimes" are, MOST victimless crimes are. ...... Quote:I'll stick with repeatable, provable Science, thank you very much. Good plan, but, if the powers that be OUTLAW scientific investigation, as with POT or climate change, you'll stick with what the Western WitchHunters in power, give ya

and SOME people's SAVAGE God is Science coupled with Government FORCE
science that changes fairly often from one opposite to another common sense and even religions be damned even as religions ideas of right and wrong usually endure for thousands of years - well, till recently for some reason........... Nicholas Taleb addresses that well here: https://www.lewrockwell.com/2016/09/no_a...al-idiots/ Quote:But the problem is the one-eyed following the blind: these self-described members of the “intelligenzia” can’t find a coconut in Coconut Island, meaning they aren’t intelligent enough to define intelligence hence fall into circularities — but their main skill is the capacity to pass exams written by people like them. With psychology papers replicating less than 40%, dietary advice reversing after 30 years of fatphobia, macroeconomic analysis working worse than astrology, the appointment of Bernanke who was less than clueless of the risks, and pharmaceutical trials replicating at best only 1/3 of the time, people are perfectly entitled to rely on their own ancestral instinct and listen to their grandmothers (or Montaigne and such filtered classical knowledge) with a better track record than these policymaking goons.

Theres some folks that just got that something that allows them to "see things" that are unseen to others.
Personally, I think its a gift of the Devine, or the Accuser depending upon the person... I've seen both the good and the bad sides of such things in those two. The Light and The Darkness exist upon this earth. Ya can't have cold water, unless you already know what hot water is... ![]()
