The last king of Romania has died
#1
A Hohenzollern, he was forced to abdicate by the Communists in 1947 (right after returning from his cousin Queen Elizabeth's wedding) and spent most of his life in Switzerland.  He was the last living head of state from WWII and one of only 20 people to be awarded the Soviet Order of Victory (his name is engraved on the wall of the Kremlin):

Guns don't kill people, the government does.

A very interesting Wikipedia article.

Being allowed to peacefully leave Romania (with some considerable assets) and subsequently living in England and Switzerland instead, hey, that don't suck.
