Chemicals in groundwater near military bases - Herring - 05-03-2017

In the past this board had a thread on PFOA, PFOS and related chemicals:  the ones that, among other things, were used to create nonstick cookware.
Similar chemicals were also used on military bases to clean aircraft and for fire-suppression.  No effort was made to contain these chemicals and they're in the groundwater.  There are many young adults who have had lifelong health problems from growing up on or near bases with these chemicals in the groundwater.
