but its the truth....just like the fact that all men will eventually gravitate towards pants that have an elastic waist band built in, you can deny it, but eventually, just like all the others, you'll give in to the functionality.

I know it's a really stupid question before I ask it, but what is the purpose of the elastic waist band? Is it a weight thing? I always just use a belt and loose pants when I gain weight. The elastic band thing sounds incredibly uncomfortable.

Elastic works great for skinny people.

People with a weight problem should probably try suspenders.

No suspenders for me. I'm not a fan of wedgies. You don't have to have a weight problem to discover that mistake.

Never been very skinny either. Heavy squats and dead lifts leave a lot below the waist to keep my pants up, even without a belt. But I could see the elastic advantage for those who don't lift. It would need to be pretty snug, though, if you wanted to carry.
