Of course, some will cry "socialism" because over the air TV is free and demand the Federal Government charge money to the OTA TV stations to get a license to use the airways.

So will even say requiring licenses to broadcast OTA TV is unnecessary regulation and unconstitutional, and anyone should be able to broadcast OTA TV without a license.

You pay by watching the commercials. Licensing is a requirement since there are a limited number of bandwidths to broadcast on. Not that this would make this thread any more worthwhile. It is kinda funny though.

But many pay TV channels also have commercials. If you record shows with a DVR, you can skip past those, however. It seems to me it would be possible to use a DVR with an antenna.

I can remember when the cable TV companies sold cable TV as being "commercial free" with "no interruptions".

Just goes to show you, there are no limits on the greed of capitals in capitalism.

And any economic system based on greed, one of mankind's worst traits, is bound to fail or cause serious harm.
